Why aren't rich kids in Iraq?


Yes, a very good question indeed.... In earlier times in US history, conscription usually had an escape clause for rich people who could buy their way out of the draft. While there isn't a formal draft in the US (yet) there is an economic draft. For many, the army is their only prospect for a stable income. Posted by Hello

interesting how those with money and power can be excepted when compulsory sign up for war is involved.. a bit like how those same people arent ever forced to live in the toxic industrial zones or to eat polluted food or face the real repercussions of their daily decisions... hope you survive that crazy land hepburn! i think some of the western australian backwaters can be similar in thinking to be honest though...
